Picture Time!

Wow. It's taken 5 minutes to upload all my pictures that I've taken since the last post with pictures...and it's still uploading. I'll try to consolidate here.

We have been super busy getting things done at the house...the apartment is a disaster area. We're really not living anywhere right now, or so it seems. We spend all day - from 6:30/7:00 to about 11:00 at the house. We literally only sleep and shower at the apartment. Don't ask what we've been eating. :)

In the few weeks we have:
~Taken a break and gone to the Rexburg Airshow




~Finished the trim and closet shelving

~Gotten our sidewalk poured




~Primed the house

~Painted the trim




~Painted the doors









~Masked off the trim and ceilings




~Cleaned up what was left of Wrigley's treats after he knocked them over and ate his fill while we weren't watching

~Realized how much Wrigley has grown




~Faced a near-death experience (really only in my imagination)

~Painted the walls




~Installed the hardwood floor (Brazilian Cherry)









~Removed the masking




~Bought our lighting fixtures (no picture)
~Sanded the hardwood floor

~Had our cabinets (mostly) installed (Clean Alder)




~Bought the cabinet hardware

~Started installing the tile floor (yesterday)

Okay, so that was a consolidated version of our week. There are some good stories from the past week, too. The Wrigley and his treats story was pretty funny - Matt said when he found the situation, the dog was no longer interested in the treats and was quite bloated from having eaten half the box. He threw up the next morning.
We had a little headache at The Depot (or Home Depot for those of you who don't have a Mathew-to-English dictionary). On the 18th of June, I went down to IF to order our tile at Home Depot. I already knew what color and brand we were getting, and that we would have to special order it because they don't have it in stock. So I talked with a flooring rep and we pulled out the order catalog. The print is like 6 pt font and is so hard to read what you're ordering. After much deliberation, we decided that we had found the right items and he put the order in, telling me it would be two weeks for it to come in. I paid and was on my way. One week later, we were in IF again to buy our lighting fixtures, so we thought we'd check to see if the tile had come in early. The girl at the desk (Lindsey) said some of it was. We asked if we could have what had come in so we could start on our project. She went back and got our tile. The 18" squares for the floor were all there. So were the 10x14" tiles for the tub/shower - except they were the wrong color!!!!!!! As in, the floor tiles are brown and so are the tub tiles supposed to be, but they were grey. What we think happened was that after looking in that book for a half hour, we didn't know what we were looking at anymore and just ordered the first 10x14 size tile we found. Whoops...BUT, it gets better. We ordered 11 boxes of that size...Matt was looking through the grey tiles and ALL BUT 3 BOXES WERE CRACKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH ALL THE TILES!!! Matt says that has happened to him every time he special orders tile from Home Depot. So, even though the guy and I ordered the wrong color and that was our fault, they broke almost the entire order anyway, so they just reordered our tile in the correct color and it should be in this week. We ended up spending way too long at The Depot because of this mess that we had to skip Wrigley's second obedience class. The trainer said we can make it up at this week's class.
We took Wrigley to the vet on Thursday and he weighs in at 22.7 lbs. He was only 13 lbs. 4 weeks ago. Talk about weight gain. In about two or three weeks, we are going to have him neutered. The vet said he'll probably see more of a weight gain between now and when we have that done!
